As a member of the National Geographic Learning ("NGL") Sales team, the Regional Engagement Consultant ("REC") engages with our sales team and with school customers to demonstrate, present, coach and implement primarily NGL Digital solutions and programs and will also work with some print products.

The REC works with the Regional Sales Manager to expertly present NGL digital solutions- demonstrating and detailing how these solutions meet the needs of these customers, coaching and training sales consultants on digital solutions and working with school customer to implement digital solutions into their workflows and curriculum.

Works with Regional Sales Managers and Sales Consultants on certain regional sales opportunities, including all large/district Career and Technical Education opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • As a team member, works with Regional Manager and Sales Consultants to target sales opportunities and create strategy, plan and executing for key accounts to help secure business.

  • Develops expertise in all NGL digital solutions across spectrum across K12.

  • Coaches/Trains Sales Consultants and Regional Managers on digital solutions.

  • Responsible for implementing digital solutions in the K12 classroom. Focus on working with teachers and district to drive usage and utilization of digital solutions in the classroom and at home by the students.

  • Expertly present NGL Career and Tech Education solutions- demonstrating and detailing how these programs meet the needs of these customers, to targeted and key districts within region

  • Sets up and conducts web-based trainings as needed.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of curricular trends and marketing practices.

  • Position involves lifting, setting up and breaking down conference materials. Boxes weigh up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience in teaching, training or presenting.

  • Excellent presentation skills

  • Lifting up to 50 lbs.

  • Juggling multiple priorities

  • Valid driver's license

  • 30-50% travel depending on the time of year

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education

  • 5 years of related experience in teaching, training or presenting, particularly in a publishing environment

  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (PC) and/or iWorks (MAC), Outlook and Adobe PDF files
